Top Miami Events for November 2026

November in Miami is when the season really turns. The humidity finally drops, the dry season kicks in, and the city's cultural calendar enters its most ambitious stretch of the year. This is the month the full snowbird population starts arriving, hotels fill back up, and the restaurant and arts programming kicks into high gear ahead of Art Basel in December.

The November event calendar is stacked across every category. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship closes its 2026 season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Rush brings its Fifty Something Tour to Seminole Hard Rock Live. The 43rd Miami Book Fair takes over the Wolfson Campus with nearly 500 authors. The E1 Series powerboat championship runs its season finale on Biscayne Bay. The Miami Beach Polo World Cup returns to Collins Park. Olivia Rodrigo brings The Unraveled Tour to Amerant Bank Arena. John Summit lands at Kaseya Center for two consecutive nights. Fairchild's NightGarden opens with Miami's first-ever ice rink under the palms. And the Life Time Turkey Trot wraps the month on Thanksgiving Day.

Here are the nine signature events on the November calendar.

NASCAR Championship Weekend (Homestead-Miami Speedway)

November 6 through 8, 2026

The NASCAR Cup Series Championship returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time since 2019, closing the 2026 season on home turf for Miami fans. The weekend runs as a tripleheader: the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship on Friday November 6 at 7:30 PM, the NASCAR Xfinity Series O'Reilly race on Saturday November 7 at 5 PM, and the flagship NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday November 8 at 3 PM.

This is the race that crowns the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series champion. Four drivers enter the Championship 4, and the highest finisher among them wins the title. Homestead's 1.5-mile oval has historically delivered some of the sport's most dramatic finales, and the track just completed a $20 million renovation ahead of this championship weekend.

Four days of oceanfront matches run on a specially constructed sand field directly against the beach, with VIP tents, Champagne lounges, Miami fashion-week-adjacent crowds, and a hospitality program that stretches down Collins Avenue to the surrounding hotels.

The polo itself is high-level international competition, with professional teams from Argentina, the UK, the US, and other polo markets competing across a bracket format. The VIP experience is the real draw for most attendees, though, with sponsor activations ranging from Veuve Clicquot to Maserati.

General admission is free; VIP packages run $300-plus. Details via miamipolo.com.

NightGarden at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Opens November 12, 2026

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden opens its annual NightGarden on Thursday November 12, transforming the 83-acre Coral Gables property into Miami's flagship holiday light experience. New for 2026: Miami's first-ever ice rink under the palms, which turns the garden into a legitimate winter-wonderland setting that no other South Florida venue has attempted. The ice rink runs alongside the full NightGarden walking trail of dazzling light installations, interactive art, and larger-than-life illuminated sculptures scattered through the gardens.

The experience lasts about 60 to 90 minutes end-to-end, with the paths largely flat and stroller-friendly. Expect dense crowds the opening weekend and the final weekend. Mid-week visits are the move for anyone looking for a quieter experience.

Adult tickets $38, kids 3 to 11 / seniors / military $33, children under 3 free. Address 10901 Old Cutler Rd, Coral Gables. Book timed-entry tickets through fairchildgarden.org to avoid the gate line.

November 13 and 14, 2026

The E1 Series, the all-electric raceboat world championship, wraps its 2026 season on Biscayne Bay with the first double-header in the championship's history. The venue is the Miami Seaplane Base, with the E1 Ocean Club hospitality area setting up alongside the course for both days of racing. The series has drawn celebrity team owners including Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, Will Smith, Marc Anthony, and Virat Kohli, which has pulled the event into mainstream sports coverage well beyond the usual powerboat audience.

Life Time Turkey Trot Miami 5K/10K & Kids Race

Thursday, November 26, 2026 (Thanksgiving Day)

The Life Time Turkey Trot Miami wraps the November calendar on Thanksgiving morning with the city's largest Thanksgiving Day race. 5K, 10K, and kids-race options run across the course, giving every member of the family a format that fits before the turkey hits the table. Thanksgiving-morning races are one of the most enduring American Thanksgiving traditions, and Miami's version has grown into a serious community event over the last decade.

The dry-season weather is the appeal. November mornings in Miami settle into the 60s to low-70s, which is the ideal running temperature after months of 85-degree summer heat. The 5K route is designed to be stroller- and family-friendly, and the kids race keeps the under-10 crowd engaged with its own course and finish-line celebration.

Entry runs approximately $70 for the 5K and $81 for the 10K. The kids race has its own separate pricing. Register through the Life Time Turkey Trot page. Finish-line festivities include post-race snacks, music, and the chance to earn Thanksgiving pie before most families are up.
